The aim of the project, which started in 2019, is to design, develop and test inexpensive and small biogas plants (electrical output approx. 25-50 kW) for medium-sized farms in Bavaria with the following aspects in mind: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use of textile materials<\/li>\n<li>Compliance with all approval standards for biogas plants<\/li>\n<li>Operation with agricultural residues from the organic farm<\/li>\n<li>Reduction in construction costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project goes through the following phases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Survey and evaluation of the current situation for small farm biogas plants<\/li>\n<li>Development of a small-scale agricultural biogas plant with a textile fermenter<\/li>\n<li>Development and evaluation of utilization concepts for biogas from small biogas plants<\/li>\n<li>Acceptance of small biogas plants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since 2022, degradation tests have been carried out in a specially constructed pilot fermenter using solid manure from the cattle shed at the Landshut-Sch\u00f6nbrunn Agricultural Training Center and clover grass as a co-substrate. With the knowledge gained from this, a demonstration plant is now being put into operation in order to obtain a reliable sustainability assessment for the concept in terms of ecological, social, economic and technical aspects. Next Friday, the ground-breaking ceremony will take place at the Landshut-Sch\u00f6nbrunn training center together with Minister of State Aiwanger.
