Short description of the project<\/h2>\n

The biowaste treatment plant at the Asdonkshof waste and energy center in Kamp-Lintfort processes and treats biowaste for the district of Wesel. Approximately 28,500 tons of biowaste are processed and composted each year. The project was implemented as a general contractor by STRABAG Umwelttechnik GmbH. Finsterwalder Umwelttechnik, in turn, was commissioned to supply and install the pump technology for circulating and transferring the fermentation product from the fermenter to the composting facility. The pump capacity is adjustable between 30 m\u00b3\/h at 6-8 bar delivery pressure. The two pumps are located outside, on the fermenter discharge side.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      FINSTERWALDER GATE VALVE PUMP KS32 DN350\/250<\/strong><\/div>\n
      The two KS32 gate pumps are filled alternately by a DN350 pipe via a Y-piece. One pump pushes the fermentation product back into the fermenter via a DN250 pipe. Both pumps are operated simultaneously to continuously transfer the fermentation product to the fermentation residue mixer.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      HYDRAULIC UNIT<\/strong><\/div>\n
      The hydraulic unit, which was specially developed for this project, drives both pumps. It has a 400 L oil tank, a WHG oil pan, and consists of three oil circuits.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      CONTROL CABINET AND AUTOMATION<\/strong><\/div>\n
      The control cabinet and automation were adapted for the project. The aim was to ensure 24-hour automatic operation and remote access. In addition, the fermentation product should be fed into the compost mixer as continuously as possible.
